On Thursday 25 Nov, the 2nd year Level 3 Public Services group visited RAF Cottesmore, the home of the Harrier jump jet.  The base is due to close at the end of the year so the group are one of the last to visit this landmark in British military history.

The day was surprisingly varied, with an in-depth insight into the MP dog handling unit, the RAF fire service, aeronautical engineering, radar and ground control operations.  Students got to see all these elements in operation and it proved to be a memorable experience for all.

All students thoroughly enjoyed the day and some are now considering a career in the forces.
