Meet: Enerik

Name: Enerik
Course Studied: Level 1 Diploma in Plumbing 

Enerik started his Oaklands journey as an ESOL (English as Secondary or Foreign Language) learner in 2018 and has since progressed onto the Plumbing course.

The Level 1 Diploma in Plumbing is for students wanting to enter the Plumbing or Electrical industry. It gives students the opportunity to pick up some core skills and knowledge and gives them the opportunity to progress onto either our Level 2 & 3 Plumbing or Electrical Installation qualifications.

Alongside studying for his Level 1 Diploma in Plumbing, Enerik is also sitting a variety of ESOL courses to continue his development.

During any of the Plumbing and Gas courses at Oaklands College, students are expected to seek employment in the industry, enabling them to gain invaluable hands-on experience through the work experience college programme.

As well as pursuing a career as a plumber, Enerik has been combining his ESOL skills across a variety of work experience placements.

Enerik’s development from learning to speak and write the English Language to studying for his Plumbing qualifications is a testament to his determination to learn and his hardworking attitude and the Plumbing Department are confident that he will continue to flourish as he pursues a career within the industry.
