Jessie Jack speaks to Oaklands College about her experience studying both a Level 2 and Level 3 Apprenticeship in Business Administration.

Jessie, whose parents both come from a financial career background, always knew she would progress into the Business Administration industry but nothing would have prepared her for how much she would have enjoyed it, and the skills she would develop as an Apprentice.

“I chose to study an Apprenticeship because of the pressure of exams at school. I have always enjoyed learning in a practical working environment as it is a learning style which suits me best.”

Jessie progressed onto a Level 2 Business Administration Apprenticeship at the age of 16 and she hasn’t looked back since.

“I have gained so much hands-on experience in finance, invoicing and administrative work, my apprenticeship through Oaklands College has set me up with all of the skills and knowledge I need to begin a successful career at just 20 years of age!”

Speaking about the relevance of her core studies to the industry she is working in, Jessie said: “The units I have learnt from both Level 2 & 3 of my apprenticeship give me the perfect platform to put the theory work into practice and my work performance has benefited as a result of this.”

Jessie, who has managed to save up her apprenticeship salary buy her first car, spoke of the financial benefits of studying an apprenticeship.

“I would say to any students thinking about pursuing an Apprenticeship at Oaklands College to simply just do it, it is a great platform which sets you up for life and the ability to earn a salary whilst you’re studying enables you progress in your personal life and aspirations also.”
