Lewis has studied a variety of courses at Oaklands College, having first joined in September 2014.
Lewis is a well-liked student at Oaklands College and with the assistance of the Supported Learning Pathway, Lewis has gained confidence in his own abilities and increase his self-esteem, which has allowed him to progress in education as well as now living independently.
Currently studying a Level 2 Extended Diploma in Health & Social Care, Lewis has impressed his fellow peers and tutor group, with support in place in class, Lewis has developed his organisation skills, ensuring he attends all lessons on time and ready to learn, which keeps him on track with tasks and assignments set in class.
Learning Support and tutors continue to work closely with Lewis and have built a strong rapport, which enables a positive attitude to learning.
It is the support that Lewis has received that has encouraged him to take part in extra-curricular activities, including signing up for the college’s Student Union as a student representative in 2015 and in 2016, becoming Vice President of the Student Union.
Lewis is a popular and charismatic student in his class and has taken on the role of Student Ambassador for Health and Social Care.
Once I’ve completed the Level 2, I plan to progress onto the Level 3 Diploma!
