Meet Louis, a Level 3 student in Music Production student who has progressed to work for the Premier League.

Course Studied: BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Media Production
Louis began his Oaklands journey in 2017, enrolling onto the first year of a two year Level 3 Diploma in Media Production.
Louis converted his passion for music into transferable skills that he could bring to the music industry.
Now working for the Premier League as a Commentary Engineer, we sat down with Louis to speak to him about his Oaklands journey.
Tell us about your time at the college?Â
“My time at Oaklands College was by far the best two years that I have spent in education. The Music Technology course that I took was insightful, instructive and very well structured. The staff were incredibly friendly and immensely knowledgeable within their field.”
How was your learning experience on the course?Â
“Whilst I was studying at Oaklands, I was given the guidance that I needed to build my confidence and expand my technical knowledge and capabilities further. This has since led to me starting a job as a Premier League Football Commentary Engineer.”
I will always be grateful to the staff at Oaklands College for helping me to develop my musical ability and further my understanding of the industry that I’ve always wanted to work in.
