Meet Morgana

Name: Morgana
Course: Business Administration Apprenticeship Level 3

Knowing her brother had a good experience while
studying at Oaklands, Morgana decided to follow in his footsteps.

“I chose to study at Oaklands for a number of
reasons, not only is it fairly local to me but I had visited a couple of times in
the past and the staff had all been friendly, helpful and welcoming,” said
Morgana.

While at Oaklands, Morgana benefitted from the
knowledge and expertise of the teaching staff, who were always on hand to help.

“My course has helped me meet a lot of new contacts,
learn a lot more about the local business community and has taught me new
skills that have helped throughout my employment. I had a brilliant tutor who
was very knowledgeable and professional, but at the same time friendly and
supportive when needed.”

“The other staff I met were all helpful when you
asked them something and made me feel very comfortable when I was there. I
learnt a lot from my apprenticeship and it has really put me in the right
direction to progressing with my future career.”

Thanks to Morgana’s apprenticeship, she has gained
employment at five local companies, including the St Albans Chamber of Commerce,
St Albans Enterprise Agency and The Endless Bookcase, an e-publishing company.

She also went on to be named Young
Person of the Year at the St Albans Chamber of Commerce Community Business
Awards in 2014.

“I would recommend Oaklands – they have a number of
resources for a variety of different courses, the staff and teachers are
helpful and friendly, and there are some great facilities.”
