Ofsted Inspection Results

Ofsted inspect and regulate to achieve excellence in the care of children and young people, and in education and skills for students of all ages. They are an excellent indicator of how good a college is. The most recent inspection gave the College an overall rating of “Good” and identified the following strengths:

Links with Industry

Oaklands College prides itself on links with local companies and businesses to provide our students with an education that is desirable to employers. We offer over fifty Apprenticeship or NVQ courses across our entire range of courses so you are bound to find something that suits you. These courses are designed to reinforce your technical skills and give you nationally recognised qualifications while you are in employment. Our students have gone on to progress in extremely varied careers with both large and small companies such as construction giants Skanska, engineering company MBDA, working in retail with Tesco and Waitrose and telecommunications with T Mobile.
