Student to take part in British Athletics International Match

GLASGOW — Athletics Academy student, Kyle Powell, will be making his first international appearance of 2013 this weekend at the British Athletics International Match in Glasgow.
Competing at the famous Kelvin Hall – which is hosting its first world class athletics meeting as some of the biggest names in athletics take to the track for the first time in 2013 – Kyle will compete in the against athletes representing Japan, Brazil and Sweden in the 60m Paralympic T46 classification.
After winning his first Indoor competition for the College in December and setting a new personal best, the young star has high hopes for a medal, Kyle said: “It is going to be an honour to represent my country at such a prestigious event and be amongst my idols that inspire me to achieve my absolute best”.
The event will be televised on BBC 1 at 1:30pm on Saturday 26 January
