Back by popular demand, Oaklands College Music students are set to perform a series of live music sessions celebrating music from across the ages.

Last year, their shows became so popular that they raised over £1000 for Cancer Research UK by performing in various venues across Hertfordshire. This year  the students have secured gigs at The Horn in St Albans and are presenting a history of popular music, covering genres from 50’s Rock and Roll to Reggae and modern day pop.

They will also be performing some of their own music and are hoping to start fundraising for charity again this year.

Alan Richardson, Co-ordinator of the Music Team at Oaklands, commented: “The students have done fantastically well and accumulated quite a following last year. To be able to perform in a key music venue in St Albans is great for them, enhancing their skills and giving them great work experience to help with their future careers.”

Concert takes place on the 6 December, starting at 7.30pm. Tickets are £5 and can be purchased on the door or in advance by contacting alan.richardson@oaklands.ac.uk.
