More than 6,000 visitors came along to the College’s Lambing Weekend to celebrate the birth of the College’s new lambs.

Visitors were able to see the latest editions to the flock, along with the College’s wide variety of other animals, including sheepdogs, goats and pigs, chicks and emus.

The College’s farm manager Del Knowles was on hand to explain the stages of lambing to the watching crowd as he helped one of the ewes give birth to twins.

The College’s Agriculture students were also on hand to help younger visitors hold and stroke the lambs.

Along with lambs, visitors were able to sneak a peek at a litter of British Saddleback piglets born over the weekend.
