Lambing Weekend 2017

Date: 18-19 March 2017
Time: 10:00 - 15:00
Location: St Albans Campus, Hatfield Road, St Albans, AL4 0JA

Celebrate the birth of lambs at Oaklands College

Our annual Lambing Weekend will take place on Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th March, 10am - 3pm.

What happens on the day?

Hundreds of lambs are born at the College every year. We open our doors to the public for one weekend to give you an opportunity to watch the arrival of new lambs and learn more about different stages of lambing.

The event is a great family day out with many activities available on site, such as:

  • Donkey rides
  • Farmers market
  • Equine demonstrations
  • Family games area
  • Farm & small animals display

Hot and cold refreshments will be available on site.

For those interested, Oaklands College staff will also be around to speak about our Landbased courses which include Animal Care, Horticulture and Equine Studies.

Join us this Spring and have a great family day out!

Entry to the event is by ticket only so please make sure that you bring your tickets with you on the day. You would need to order one ticket for each person attending, as long as they're three years or over. Children under three won't need a ticket.

Please note that dogs will not be permitted on site on the day.

Parking & getting to the site

There is limited parking available on site with priority given to Blue Badge holders. We expect the site to be busy on the day but park and ride is available from University of Hertfordshire.

A free park and ride service will be operating on the day between University of Hertfordshire (AL10 8HS) and Oaklands College.

Please do not park in the neighbouring residential areas.
