This week, our St Albans campus was alive with energy, pride, and inspiration as our yearly Festival of Achievement took place. Across four packed days, we celebrated the incredible efforts and accomplishments of our students, recognising excellence across a wide range of disciplines. From the creative and academic to technical and vocational, each day was a moving tribute to the dedication, resilience, and ambition of our learners.

Monday: A Joyful Start – Celebrating Our LIFE Students’ Journey

We were delighted to kick-off the week of ceremonies with a heart-warming celebration from our LIFE department, which includes Springfield, Supportive Learning, and Foundation into Vocation. Joined by proud families and staff, we enjoyed a selection of uplifting performances that showcased the talent, creativity, and confidence of our LIFE students. Every student received a well-deserved certificate to mark their individual journey and achievements.

Tuesday: A Celebration of Creativity and Lifelong Learning

Tuesday shone a well-deserved spotlight on the brilliance of our Creative Industries students. From Art, Fashion & Design, and Performing Arts, to Music, Hair & Beauty, and Media, the showcase was bursting with innovation and passion. The creativity on display was nothing short of inspiring—a vibrant celebration of talent and expression.

Later in the day, the spotlight turned to our Adult Learners, including students from ESOL, AAT, Higher Education, and Teacher Training programmes. The evening was filled with powerful personal stories—testimonies of perseverance, growth, and the life-changing power of education. These students reminded us all of the strength it takes to return to learning and the value of every step forward.

Wednesday: Recognising Excellence Across a Diverse Curriculum

Midweek, the Festival of Achievement honoured students from a wide-ranging Mixed Curriculum, highlighting just how diverse and dynamic our learning community truly is. From A Levels and Access to Higher Education, to vocational areas such as Animal Care, Applied Science, Business, Early Years, Equine Studies, Health & Social Care, Hospitality & Catering, IT & Computing, Public Services, Sport, and Travel, Tourism & Events—every learner has demonstrated dedication and impressive progress.

It was a joy to see students from such varied fields come together in celebration, each with their own journey and success story. Your commitment and growth over the year have been truly commendable.

Wednesday Evening: Wolves Academies Take Centre Stage

The Wolves Festival was a powerful reminder of the resilience, passion, and talent that define our Wolves athletes. From the explosive energy of our basketball and football squads to the relentless determination of our rugby, netball, hockey, and cheerleading academies, each award winner and nominee has shown what it means to embody the Wolves spirit. The spotlight shone brightly on our Oaklands Wolves student-athletes as their celebration of dedication, growth, and sporting success kicked off. Across an incredible evening, we recognised the outstanding achievements of our academy players who have balanced the demands of elite performance with their academic commitments.

The success of this special evening would not have been possible without the tireless efforts of our Academy Leads, coaches, and support staff, who consistently go above and beyond to empower our athletes. Thursday: Honouring Skilled Trades and Technical Talent

Thursday brought the week to a strong finish with a celebration of our Engineering and Construction students. From Construction Management and Engineering, to Motor Vehicle, Plumbing, Carpentry & Joinery, Electrical Installation, and Brickwork, we applauded the hard work and precision that goes into mastering a trade.

These learners play a vital role in building and maintaining the world around us. Their achievements are a powerful reminder of the skill, determination, and pride that define our future workforce.
