The 6’4 forward makes her comeback to Oaklands after a strong 2023/24 campaign, where she showcased her versatile skill set with averages of 6.3 points, 6.1 rebounds and 2 assists per game. Her impressive performances during that season also earned her a call-up to the New Zealand Tall Ferns, underlining her quality on the international stage.
After departing Oaklands, West signed with the Forestville Eagles in the 2024 Australian NBL1 season. Unfortunately, her time there was cut short due to injury, which sidelined her for the 2024/25 winter season. Now fully recovered, West is ready to hit the floor once again, determined to pick up where she left off and make a major impact in Wolves colours.
Head Coach Lee Ryan said:
“Having Amy back is a huge boost for our programme. She is a player with great size, versatility and international experience. She made a real impact in her first season with us, and now that she is healthy again, we can’t wait to see her help push us back towards the top of the SLB.”
With West back in the line-up, Wolves fans can look forward to a stronger inside presence, enhanced rebounding power, and the international pedigree she brings to an exciting 2025/26 roster.
