Oaklands Wolves are delighted to confirm the return of forward Lavinia “Big Liv” da Silva for the 2025/26 SLB season.
The 6’2 forward is back in St Albans after a standout debut year that saw her play a pivotal role in the Wolves’ historic 2025 campaign, lifting two maiden trophies and cementing her status as a fan favourite.
A highly decorated professional, Da Silva brings a wealth of European experience to the Wolves, having previously featured in Italy, Portugal, Switzerland, and Iceland, as well as competing in the EuroCup. Last season, she added a new dimension to the Wolves’ front court, averaging 8.8 points, 4.5 rebounds, and shooting 42.1% from three in just 20 minutes per game.
Her stellar club season was matched by international recognition, as Da Silva represented Portugal at their first ever FIBA Women’s EuroBasket this summer, a landmark moment in her national career.
Looking ahead to another exciting season, Da Silva reflected:
“Trust is the glue, teamwork is the strength. When we lean on each other, we never break.”
Fans can see Da Silva back in action with the Wolves when they host the London Lions in their first home game on Saturday 28th September, 6pm tip-off.
