England Star Alessia Russo Visits Oaklands to Champion Women’s Sport

Last week we were proud to welcome England striker Alessia Russo, Sky, and Goals 4 Girls to our St Albans campus for a special event promoting women’s sport.

The visit took place in our new High Performance Centre, giving students the chance to hear first-hand how sport can open doors to education, careers and personal growth.

Sky is calling for national action on girls’ sport, highlighting research that shows it could unlock a £6.5 billion boost to the UK economy. 

Hosting this event reinforced Oaklands’ commitment to creating opportunities and pathways where girls can thrive—on the pitch, in the classroom and beyond.
