Finau Flies in: Oaklands Add US Guard to 2025/26 Roster

Finau Flies in: Oaklands Add US Guard to 2025/26 Roster

Oaklands Wolves have secured another major addition to their backcourt with the signing of US guard Lesila Finau for the 2025/26 SLB season.

The 5’9 guard from California will make her debut in the league following an eye-catching summer in Australia’s NBL One, where she starred for the Joondalup City Wolves. Finau averaged 13.1 points, 5.3 rebounds and 4.8 assists per game, showcasing her versatility and ability to impact the game in multiple ways.

A graduate of Colorado University, Finau has already gained valuable professional experience with spells in Portugal and Germany, establishing herself as a reliable scorer and playmaker in Europe. She is eager to bring that experience to Oaklands, commenting:
“The team are already prepping for another winning season. I can’t wait to get out in front of the St Albans crowds and give them lots to cheer about.”

On the international stage, Finau represents Tonga, where she has proven to be a standout performer. At the 2022 FIBA Polynesian Cup, she averaged an incredible 26.8 points per game, earning a place in the tournament’s All-Star 5.

Her signing marks Oaklands’ eighth addition of the off-season as the Wolves continue to build a roster ready to compete at the top end of the SLB. Fans can expect more exciting announcements over the weekend as the Pack continues to grow.
