Connecting Futures: Oaklands College at Generation Watford & Three Rivers 2026

Yesterday, Oaklands College was proud to attend the Generation Watford & Three Rivers Event 2026, held at Watford Leisure Centre. The event brought together over 1,000 students from across the region, all eager to explore their future career and education opportunities.

With around 50 businesses and organisations in attendance, students had the valuable opportunity to engage directly with employers and training providers. These conversations enabled them to gain insight into a wide range of industries, apprenticeships, and potential career pathways, helping them make more informed decisions about their next steps.

Oaklands College was represented by colleagues from our Marketing, VR, Employability, and Careers teams. Throughout the day, staff engaged with students, parents, and carers, showcasing the diverse range of courses and progression routes available at the College. From further education pathways to career-focused training, visitors were able to gain a clear understanding of how Oaklands can support their ambitions.

Events such as Generation Watford & Three Rivers play a crucial role in connecting young people with both education providers and employers. By offering early exposure to career options and industry insights, they help students build confidence and develop a clearer vision for their future.

Oaklands College was proud to be part of such an impactful event and to support over 1,000 students in exploring their next steps.
