Oaklands College proudly hosted the launch of Oaklands Connect this June. A brand-new employer networking series designed to bring local and regional businesses together to share ideas, spark collaboration, and explore workforce development opportunities.
Held at our St Albans Campus, the first event welcomed over 20 businesses from a range of sectors, including education, construction, health, digital, and professional services. Guests enjoyed a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere with fresh coffee, snacks, and open conversation.
The morning began with informal networking, followed by an introduction to Oaklands’ upcoming events and use of our industry-standard facilities. Many of the attendees expressed enthusiasm about the value of a consistent local forum for business connection and skills-focused discussion.

Oaklands Connect is part of a wider effort by the college to strengthen links with industry, ensuring training remains responsive to employer needs while helping businesses access the support they need to grow.
