Oaklands College Level 3 Fashion students have once again showcased their creativity, innovation, and commitment to sustainability by transforming preloved men’s ties into unique, stylish outfits — and designing an eye-catching window display for the Marshalswick Hospice Shop.
This inspiring collaboration highlights the power of creativity to drive positive change, combining sustainable design with community impact. By giving new life to preloved treasures, students demonstrated how fashion can be both imaginative and environmentally conscious.
The project was developed as part of Sustainable Fashion Week 2025, reinforcing the importance of sustainability within the fashion industry while supporting the invaluable work of the Marshalswick Hospice Shop.
Their fantastic creations will also feature at this year’s Sustainable Festival 10-Year Anniversary Event, offering the public another opportunity to see the students’ designs and learn more about the message behind them.
A huge congratulations to our Fashion students for their outstanding work — proving that style and sustainability truly go hand in hand.
