Wolves Add Young Wing Talent with the Signing of Ashley Kitchen

Wolves Add Young Wing Talent with the Signing of Ashley Kitchen

Oaklands Wolves are delighted to announce the signing of Ashley Kitchen, a 6’6 wing whose size, skill, and outside shooting ability make him an exciting addition to the roster for the 2025/26 season.

At just 22 years old, Kitchen already boasts a wealth of experience across different levels of the game. He spent three years with the Reading Rockets between 2020 and 2023 before moving to the United States to play for South Western Illinois College during the 2023/24 season. A former England Junior international, Kitchen has long been tipped as a player with the tools to make a significant impact on the floor.

Known as a floor-spacing wing with a real outside shooting threat, Kitchen adds an important dimension to the Wolves offence. His combination of length and perimeter skill makes him a difficult match-up for opponents and a valuable two-way contributor.

Speaking on the signing, Wolves Head Coach said:

“Ash is an exciting prospect at just 22 years old and a real pick-up for our programme. Despite his young age, he comes to us with a tonne of experience at different levels, and with his size and skill set, he will be a match-up problem for other teams. I am really excited about players like Ash and Kane joining us, both have the ability to impact winning now, whilst growing with us to become part of our foundation for future years.”

Kitchen becomes the latest in a string of signings aimed at building a Wolves roster that can compete immediately while also laying the foundations for sustained success. Fans can look forward to seeing his outside shooting and versatility on full display when the new season tips off.
