Oaklands Wolves Academy Alumnae Shine on World Stage at Netball World Youth Cup

Two Oaklands Wolves Netball Academy Alumnae standouts are making their mark on the international stage after being selected to represent their nations at the Netball World Youth Cup, taking place in Gibraltar from 19–28 September.

Alexandra Dellipiani, who studied Sports and Exercise Science during her time at Oaklands, will proudly represent Gibraltar on home soil. Azara Wilmot, who completed her Business studies before heading to university, has earned her place in the Jamaica squad.

Both players completed their final year at Oaklands last academic year and are now continuing their studies at the University of Hertfordshire. Their call-ups highlight the strong pathway Oaklands provides for developing young talent both academically and athletically.

The Netball World Youth Cup will see 20 nations battle for the title, with Gibraltar hosting the prestigious event for the first time. For Dellipiani and Wilmot, it’s an opportunity not only to showcase their skills at the highest youth level, but also to inspire the next generation of Oaklands Wolves.
