Part Time
You must be 19 years old at the start of the current academic year, and you will need to complete an online assessment for both Maths and English to determine the level at which you should begin. Your English skills must be at least one level below the maths course you plan to study, as mathematical language is academic. For all government funded courses, you must start at the level indicated by your assessment results and progress to higher levels if needed.
You will be supported by a specialist teacher assigned at the start of your course. They are experienced in teaching the Functional Skills specification and regularly attend training to stay current with updates and assessment requirements from exam boards.
