This course is specifically for self-employed plumbers or gas engineers looking to upskill themselves, or employers looking to upskill their current employees, in commissioning and installing air source heat pumps. This will be delivered in the evenings with the ad hoc Saturday full day.

You will complete your WRAS, HWSS, Commissioning & Servicing of Air Source Heat Pumps, Energy Efficiency and Retrofit.

Learners will need to hold a minimum of Level 2 NVQ (or equivalent) in Plumbing or Gas. Or have a minimum of 2 years in industry that you can evidence.

This course equips learners with the knowledge and skills to allow individuals to register as self-employed and start their own childminding business from their own home. The course includes Safeguarding, SEND, Paediatric First Aid, Food Hygiene, Child Development, Awareness of mental health, Speech Language and Communication, and Business start up for self-employed. 

As part of the course, you will be supported to complete the registration process to register as an Ofsted Childminder, along with any associated paperwork to complete so that this is all completed on completion of the course.

Working with the Hertfordshire County Council, the course will equip you with accredited qualifications and support towards gaining your DBS which you will require to start up your business.

This course focuses on developing practical skills, knowledge of industry standards and employability skills to bridge the gap between foundational knowledge and professional practice. With a blended approach of theory and practical sessions, you will have an understanding in real-world coaching practice, safeguarding, engagement and communication, coaching adaptability, and professional development. This includes accredited qualifications such as Safeguarding, Emergency First Aid at Work and a UK coaching qualification.

You will have a range of opportunities on a weekly basis to support our current sporting sessions within the college including our sport academies which has a variety of sports so we will look to tailor your programme to your interests where we can.

You will be supported in work readiness as a Sports Coach on completion of the course with interviews and employment opportunities within Hertfordshire.

This fully online course will be delivered 1 day per week over 10 weeks and will provide individuals with the knowledge and skills needed to lead and manage teams with confidence, and the graduates will achieve the CMI Level 5 Certificate in Management and Leadership.

The course will include managing and developing relationships, principles of leadership practice, foundations for excellence, delivering results, managing self, managing finance, and principles of management and leadership in an organisational context.

Designed for practising or aspiring managers in roles such as Operations Manager, Divisional Manager, Departmental Manager, Regional Manager or Specialist Manager.
