End of Year Art & Fashion Show Celebrates Student Creativity and Transformation

This week, our Art, Fashion and Design team hosted their highly anticipated End of Year Art & Fashion Show, welcoming more than 400 attendees to celebrate the incredible creativity and talent of our students.

We would like to thank everyone who attended and supported the event. Your presence helped to showcase the culmination of months of hard work from our talented Art and Fashion Design students.

This year’s theme, Transformation, featured a diverse range of student work, including animations, paintings, magazines and live designs. Each piece offered a unique interpretation of themes including sustainability, ethical fashion and social impact.

Students also took on real industry roles behind the scenes, gaining valuable hands-on experience in production, styling and event delivery. Our Hair and Beauty students played a key role in ensuring every model was catwalk-ready, contributing to the professional quality of the show.

Alongside the fashion show, guests were able to explore an exhibition showcasing student work across our Art, Fashion and Design courses, celebrating the breadth of creativity within the department.

We were also delighted to host a special matinee performance for local schools, including Katherine Warington School and The Adeyfield School. The event provided prospective students with an opportunity to experience the creativity and talent on show, with one visiting school even expressing an interest in replicating the fashion show experience in their own setting.

Reflecting on the event, Sharon Maxwell Magnus, Head of Outreach at the University of Hertfordshire School of Creative Arts, said:

“I was wowed by the talent, creativity and dedication of the students. Britain is a creative powerhouse and they are continuing that tradition.”

An inspiring celebration of imagination, innovation and transformation, the event highlighted not only the exceptional talent of our students, but also the exciting future of the creative industries.
