Festival of Sport Brings Local Primary Schools Together

Today, we welcomed pupils from local primary and preparatory schools to our St Albans campus for our annual Festival of Sport – a fantastic day of activity, teamwork and friendly competition designed to inspire young people through sport.

Schools attending the event included The Lea, Manland, Cunningham Hill, Abbey, Prae Wood, Markyate, Mount Pleasant Lane, Flamstead, Beech Hyde, St Adrian’s, St Dominic’s Camp, Sandridge, Maple, Garden Fields, Aboyne Lodge, Oakwood, Wheatfields and St Bernadette’s.

Throughout the day, pupils took part in a wide range of sporting and physical activities, including dance, athletics, netball, rugby, football, team-building challenges, archery, goal shooting, basketball and cricket.

The event was proudly supported by our Oaklands Wolves Academy students, who led and delivered sessions throughout the day. Their professionalism, enthusiasm and leadership skills played a key role in creating a positive and engaging experience for all the visiting schools.

The Festival of Sport continues to be a highlight of our community engagement calendar, providing young people with the opportunity to try new sports, build confidence and experience the benefits of teamwork and active lifestyles in a supportive environment.

A huge thank you to all the participating schools, staff and students who helped make the day such a success!
