Jersey Farm Residents Association Visits Oaklands College

Over the summer break, we were delighted to welcome members of the Jersey Farm Residents Association to Oaklands College for a bespoke tour of our St Albans campus. The visit gave residents the opportunity to discover more about the College, our facilities and the wide range of opportunities available to both our students and the wider community.

The tour was organised as part of Oaklands College’s ongoing relationship-building with the Jersey Farm Residents Association, providing an opportunity to strengthen our connections with the local community and learn more about one another.

During the visit, residents toured a range of areas across our St Albans campus, including the Stables Restaurant, Animal Habitat and Farm, Business and Travel & Tourism facilities, Construction workshops, Art, Fashion and Design department and High Performance Centre. Along the way, they had the opportunity to speak with staff about the different courses, student experiences, industry links and opportunities available across the College, as well as hearing more about the work taking place within each area. Residents also had the opportunity to speak with Paul Shipp, about the range of Adult and Community Learning courses available at Oaklands, highlighting the opportunities for local residents to continue learning and develop new skills.
