Before the summer break, we were delighted to take Jordan Thomas to Stanborough School as part of their Drop-Down Day, where he delivered a series of motivational workshops for Year 9 students.
Across four one-hour sessions, Jordan worked with around 60 students in each lesson, focusing on important themes including resilience and confidence. He went above and beyond to engage each group, creating an encouraging and positive environment that gave students the opportunity to reflect on their own strengths, challenges and potential.
Stanborough School is one of Oaklands’ key feeder schools, so opportunities like this are an important way to further develop our relationship with the school and create meaningful opportunities for collaboration. It was great to see Jordan inspire and connect with students throughout the day, while showcasing the future opportunities available to them at Oaklands.
As we look ahead to the new academic year, we are looking forward to creating more opportunities to take our Curriculum into the Community.
