Level 1 Hairdressing Student Ruby Excels at WorldSkills UK National Qualifier
Oaklands College is celebrating the success of Level 1 Hairdressing student Ruby, who achieved an outstanding result at the WorldSkills UK National Qualifier held at Kingston College.
Competing against learners studying at Levels 2 and 3, Ruby demonstrated exceptional technical ability, creativity and professionalism throughout the competition. She completed two challenging tasks: a Bridal Look and a Commercial Colour, Cut & Finish, impressing the judges with the quality of her work.
Ruby not only received excellent feedback from the judging panel but also achieved the highest overall score of the day's heats—an exceptional accomplishment, particularly as a Level 1 learner competing against more experienced students.
Her success reflects the dedication, hard work and talent she has shown throughout her studies, as well as the high-quality teaching and industry-focused training provided by Oaklands College.
