Level 2 Art & Design Students Create New Quiet Room Mural

Our talented Level 2 Art & Design students have brought their creativity to life with a new mural designed to make the Quiet Room a more welcoming and relaxing space for students.

As part of a design brief, students were asked to create artwork that reflected the purpose of the Quiet Room – a welcoming space where students can relax, socialise and take part in lunchtime activities.

The room hosts a variety of clubs, including Dungeons & Dragons, Chess Club and Arts & Crafts, providing students with a space to enjoy activities and connect with others during their lunch breaks.

Students developed a range of creative ideas before one design was selected to be brought to life around the booth area, where many of the lunchtime activities take place.

The finished mural has helped create a dedicated chill-out zone, adding colour and character to the space while making it feel warmer and more inviting.

The project gave students the opportunity to put their design skills into practice by responding to a real brief and creating artwork that has a positive impact on their college community.

A fantastic addition to the Quiet Room, the mural is helping to create a vibrant and welcoming environment for everyone who uses the space.
