This week, Oaklands College was proud to attend Generation Stevenage 2026, an inspiring event that brought together more than 80 employers and 1,800 young people from across Stevenage and North Hertfordshire.
The event opened with contributions from Adrian Hawkins, Robert Voss, Tom Pike and Norman Jennings, setting the tone for a collaborative and forward-thinking day focused on careers, skills and future opportunities.
Throughout the event, Oaklands teams supported students as they explored potential career pathways and discovered the wide range of opportunities available at the College. Our VR team showcased immersive learning experiences, while colleagues from Marketing, Careers, Apprenticeships and Employability provided valuable guidance and advice on next steps after school.
We were also delighted to be joined by our Wolves Academy teams, including Combat, Athletics, Multi-Sports and Football, giving students a real insight into the diverse pathways and enrichment opportunities available through our academies.
It was fantastic to engage with so many young people throughout the day and to showcase how Oaklands College supports students in achieving their ambitions.
A huge thank you to all staff involved for their time, energy and enthusiasm in helping make the event such a success.
