Oaklands College Supports Goods For Good World Cup Packathon

Oaklands College was proud to partner with Goods For Good for the World Cup Packathon, supporting their Sport For Good programme and helping to make a positive difference to communities in need.

The event brought together 12 teams from businesses, charities and community organisations, all working towards a shared goal of sorting and packing essential items for distribution through Goods For Good’s charity network.

Throughout the day, participants packed sportswear, footwear and clothing donated by Nike, alongside school uniforms donated by Uniform4Kids. Thanks to the collective efforts of everyone involved, an incredible 492 boxes were prepared and made ready for delivery to communities across the UK and beyond.

Representing Oaklands College, five Oaklands Wolves students played an important role in the day’s success. Together, they packed an impressive 91 boxes while also helping to create a positive and energetic atmosphere by leading a range of sporting activities for participants.

The Packathon was a fantastic example of the impact that can be achieved when organisations collaborate with a shared purpose. We are grateful to Goods For Good for the opportunity to be involved in such a worthwhile initiative.

A huge thank you and congratulations to everyone who contributed to the success of the event, including the businesses and organisations who came together: SA Law, University of Roehampton, Minerva, AMARO, Robert Myers, AGT Poortman Ltd, Sky Studios Elstree and Elton House Care Home.

We are incredibly proud of our Oaklands Wolves students for representing the College so positively and for helping to make a real difference through their efforts.
