Oaklands College T Level Health Students Visit Newmedica Eye Hospital

T Level Health students from Oaklands College recently enjoyed an engaging and informative visit to Newmedica Eye Hospital in Welwyn Garden City, gaining valuable insight into the day-to-day operations of a specialist healthcare environment.

During the visit, students had the opportunity to explore the hospital setting and learn more about the wide range of roles involved in delivering patient care within the healthcare sector.

The group met with a variety of professionals, including the Operations Manager, Theatre Consultants, Nurses, Technicians and the Patient Pathway Coordinator. Through these discussions, students gained a well-rounded understanding of the different career pathways available within healthcare and the importance of teamwork across specialist medical services.

The experience allowed students to connect their classroom learning with real-world healthcare practice, while also giving them the opportunity to ask questions, develop their industry knowledge and explore potential future careers within the sector.

Oaklands College would like to thank the team at Newmedica Eye Hospital for hosting such an informative and inspiring visit and for providing students with a valuable learning experience.
