Public Services Students Take on Team-Building and Problem-Solving Challenges

Students from the Uniformed Public Services programme recently took part in an engaging and practical workshop led by Lee Layton-Matthews, Director of Mobile Team Challenge Ltd.

The session focused on developing essential team-building, communication and trust skills through a series of dynamic, hands-on activities. Mobile Team Challenge Ltd specialises in experiential learning programmes that help organisations, education providers and groups strengthen teamwork, improve communication and develop leadership skills through structured challenges and activities.

During the workshop, students took part in a range of trust games and team-building exercises designed to reflect the types of challenges they may face in future public service roles. The activities required students to communicate clearly, adapt to different situations and support one another while working together under pressure.

The experience provided students with an opportunity to strengthen their interpersonal skills, build confidence and understand the importance of trust and cooperation – all key attributes for careers within the uniformed public services.

By connecting classroom learning with practical, real-world challenges, the session helped students to develop valuable skills and gain a deeper understanding of the teamwork and resilience required within the sector.
