Wolves Duo Represent Great Britain on the International Stage

Oaklands Wolves are celebrating international success this summer, with Wolves alumnus and current Head of Development Basketball George Walker representing both Great Britain and Wales, while current student-athlete Bo Guttormsdottir Frost earned selection for the Great Britain U18 Women's team.

Wolves Coaches on the International Stage

George was part of the coaching staff for the GB U18 Women at the FIBA U18 Women's EuroBasket Championships in Romania, helping guide the team to an impressive quarter-final finish.

The programme was led by Oaklands Wolves alumnus Kenrick Liburd, who served as Head Coach of the Great Britain U18 Women's team. Their involvement highlights the continued impact Oaklands coaches are making at the highest levels of the game.

Reflecting on the experience, George said the role allowed him to further develop his coaching skills, particularly in scouting, video analysis and preparing players for different opponents during the demanding tournament schedule.

The tournament was also a proud moment for Oaklands, with Bo Guttormsdottir Frost representing Great Britain on the court while George supported the programme from the sidelines.

George described the experience of working with the team and supporting Bo throughout the programme as incredibly rewarding, particularly as the squad progressed to the quarter-finals.
