Pounds Added to Wolves Roster

Pounds Added to Wolves Roster

Oaklands Wolves are excited to announce the addition of Finland international guard Anissa Pounds for the 2025/26 SLB season.

The 5’9 EuroCup veteran brings a wealth of experience to the Wolfpack, joining for her first season in the British Basketball League after successful spells across Europe and the USA. Pounds has previously suited up in Finland, Germany, Spain, Belgium, and America, earning a reputation as a smart, sharp-shooting guard with a strong all-around game.

Most recently, she starred in the Finnish Korisliiga with Kotka Peli-Karhut, averaging 12.2 points and 3.9 assists per game while guiding the team to the national championship. Wolves fans will recognise a familiar link—Pounds was teammates with fellow Wolves newcomer Devon Brookshire during that title-winning run, and the pair will be reunited in St Albans this season.

Fans can look forward to seeing Pounds in action as the Wolves tip off the new season later this month.

Stay tuned—tomorrow Oaklands will reveal the final piece of their summer signing puzzle, and it’s a fan favourite returning to the Pack.
