OAKLANDS WOLVES SIGN AMERICAN STANDOUT GUARD FOR SLB SEASON

Oaklands Wolves are delighted to announce the signing of American guard Elise Williams, who joins the club ahead of the upcoming Super League Basketball (SLB) Women season.
Williams arrives in St Albans following an outstanding collegiate career at Wake Forest University, where she established herself as one of the most productive and consistent guards in the ACC, one of the strongest conferences in NCAA Division I basketball. Over her five-year career with the Demon Deacons, Williams accumulated 1,348 career points, 503 rebounds, 391 assists and 219 steals, finishing her career ranked among Wake Forest's all-time leaders in scoring, assists, steals and three-point shooting.
The Raleigh, North Carolina native became just the 31st player in Wake Forest history to surpass 1,000 career points, while also finishing 11th on the program's all-time scoring list. Across 124 career appearances, Williams averaged 10.9 points, 4.1 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 1.8 steals per game, demonstrating her ability to impact every area of the game.
During her senior season in 2024-25, Williams averaged 11.3 points, 4.0 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 2.2 steals per game, leading Wake Forest in assists and steals while playing more than 31 minutes per contest.
Williams' versatility and competitiveness make her an exciting addition to the Wolves roster. A proven two-way guard, she brings the ability to score at all three levels, create for teammates, and defend multiple perimeter positions. Her experience as a primary playmaker in the ACC, combined with her leadership and basketball IQ, will provide Oaklands with another dynamic weapon on both ends of the floor.
Head Coach Lee Ryan believes Williams' all-around game is perfectly suited to the Wolves' style of play.
"Elise is a player we've tracked closely because of the impact she makes in every aspect of the game. She has competed at a very high level throughout her college career and brings a winning mentality, toughness and versatility that will fit seamlessly into our programme.
What stands out is her ability to influence the game in so many ways. She can score, facilitate, defend, push the pace and create opportunities for others. Her leadership experience and competitive character will be invaluable for our group, and we're excited to welcome her to Oaklands."
The signing reflects Oaklands' continued commitment to attracting high-level talent capable of competing for honours in the SLB Women competition.
Welcome to the Pack, Elise!
