About the course

Take your first step into bricklaying with this practical, hands-on one-day course designed for complete beginners. You'll learn the essential skills needed to build a simple brick wall, guided by experienced tutors in a supportive workshop environment. You will discover how to mix mortar to the correct ratio and consistency, safely cut bricks using industry-standard tools, and understand the purpose and placement of queen closers. You'll then put your new skills into practice by setting out and constructing a small English bond wall, learning how to correctly position stretchers, headers and closers to create a strong, professional finish. Whether you are planning a DIY project, or simply keen to learn a new skill, this course provides a solid introduction to the fundamentals of bricklaying. ENROLMENT IS NOT CURRENTLY OPEN.
