About the course

Unleash your imagination and discover the art of storytelling in this engaging 8-week course for aspiring writers. You will explore a range of techniques to generate and develop original story ideas, building the confidence to turn your inspiration into compelling fiction. Throughout the course, you will learn how to structure and write effective stories by understanding and applying the six key elements of fiction writing: character, dialogue, plot, conflict, setting, and emotion. Through practical exercises, discussions, and guided writing activities, you will develop your creative voice and gain valuable insight into the writing process. By the end of the course, you will be able to create believable characters, craft engaging dialogue, build convincing story worlds, and construct narratives that capture your readers' attention. You will also produce a story synopsis and complete a short story, showcasing the skills and techniques you have learned throughout the programme. Whether you are taking your first steps as a writer or looking to rediscover your creativity, will help you bring your stories to life.
