About the course

We are developing a range of practical, hands-on DIY and home improvement workshops designed to help you gain confidence, learn new skills, and tackle projects around the home. Planned Workshops include: DIY FOR BEGINNERS (February/March) - Learn essential DIY skills including fitting skirting boards and architrave, selecting and using fixings, and planing and fitting doors. HOME DECORATING BASICS (1-day workshop) - Master the fundamentals of decorating, including wall preparation and repairs, selecting fillers, understanding paints and sealers, painting techniques, wallpaper selection and installation tips. UPCYCLING FURNITURE - Transform tired furniture into something special. Learn sanding, painting, finishing, and restoration techniques. You will be invited to bring along a small piece of furniture to work on during the workshop. SITERIGHT MOULD AWARENESS (February/March) - Develop an understanding of mould, its causes, prevention, and practical solutions for maintaining healthier living environments.
