About the course

Develop your artistic skills through a practical and engaging exploration of drawing and painting techniques. As the course progresses, you will explore the exciting use of colour through acrylic and watercolour painting, learning how to apply different techniques to create expressive and visually engaging artwork. Through a variety of structured exercises and creative approaches, you will develop your ability to observe, interpret and respond to the world around you. Working from direct observation throughout the course, you will explore a variety of artistic processes and develop your own visual responses. In the final two weeks, you will have the opportunity to undertake a self-directed project, bringing together the skills, techniques and ideas explored throughout the course to create a personal and meaningful finished piece.
