Course Content - What will I learn?

Course Overview In your first year, you will develop the essential practical skills and knowledge required to begin a career in construction groundworks. What You Will Learn Excavation & Ground Preparation Learn how to safely excavate and prepare sites ready for construction work. Preparing Bases Gain skills in preparing foundations for: Concreting Block paving Slabbing and other surface finishes Concreting Understand the techniques for mixing, placing, and finishing concrete to industry standards. Drainage Installation Learn how to install and maintain basic drainage systems, including pipes and inspection points. Basic Brickwork Develop foundational bricklaying skills to support groundwork projects. Health & Safety in Construction Build essential knowledge of safe working practices, preparing you for your Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) test.
