Aneesa Kiani Head of Land Based Industries
"I enjoy working with the teams and developing further innovative and exciting opportunities for our students. In my short space at Oaklands College I have witnessed outstanding industry led opportunities for the students here. The staff are ever so passionate about getting the best for their student’s. One of the brilliant ideas I will be driving in both areas is  “farm to fork” an idea my Co-ordinator shared upon my first day here. I will be working with my teams to support a lot more interdisciplinary activities making sure our students keep getting the best professional, industry oriented standards  developing them with future employable skills."

We are an established examination centre for the British Horse Society as well as an approved Where to Train centre and competition venue. The Equine Centre was also accredited as an official training ground for London 2012.

Our centre regularly holds unaffiliated and affiliated equine events, including: Show Jumping, Dressage and Riding Club competitions which our students are encouraged to take part in.

All of our full time programmes include opportunities to support and enhance your learning so that you can achieve your goals and ambitions. Students enrol on a Study Programme which individualises their education whilst enhancing their employability skills. A Study programme is made up of four key elements which includes a main vocational qualification, the development of English and maths through the study of GCSEs or Functional Skills, Work-related learning through work experience and Personal Development Reviews.
