Foundation Degrees
This is a nationally-recognised degree qualification in its own right, and can also lead onto the final year of an Honours Degree programme. At Oaklands College we deliver foundation degrees validated by University of Hertfordshire.
While studying towards a foundation degree you will have access to a wide range of services and facilities at Oaklands College as well as having access to facilities at the University of Hertfordshire, including:

This two-year programme is designed to provide the essential skills, knowledge and understanding of business which will enable students to enter employment and/or progress to an honours top-up in Business disciplines. The programme offers an education in general business and management which puts emphasis on personal development and employability.
This two-year programme is designed to develop your understanding of the role and use of accounting within business and business decision making. You will cover accounting techniques and explore how to prepare financial statements for different types of business enterprise. Additionally, it will develop your understanding of the role of business in society and develop knowledge of the main functional areas; marketing and human resources.
You will study the principles of marketing and marketing communications as well as developing an strategic awareness of how marketers develop products and services to build a superior value proposition. You will also examine how decisions are made and how they impact the organisation. You will also be able to work on a work based learning project, giving you hands-on experience.
