Why study Horse Care & Equestrian at Oaklands College?

At our Equine Centre we have a range of horses available to students in our stables which can hold up to 30 horses. We also have a solarium and horse walker, indoor and outdoor schools with a wide selection of show jumps and cross country fences and due to our location, extensive grazing areas, paddocks and a four mile hacking track.

    FANTASTIC FACILITIES - We are an established examination centre for the British Horse Society as well as an approved Where to Train centre and competition venue. The Equine Centre was also accredited as an official training ground for the London 2012 Oympics.

    EQUINE EVENTS – Our centre regularly holds unaffiliated and affiliated equine events, including: Show Jumping, Dressage and Riding Club competitions which our students are encouraged to take part in.

    TRIPS - Students often go on field trips to other facilities to strengthen their learning and to aid their practical assessments. These experiences help students to stand out from the crown when progressing onto their next steps.
