Congratulations to Eve Jones, a student on the Supported Internship programme within our LIFE provision, who has secured employment at The Speckled Hen pub following a highly successful work placement.
Eve has truly excelled during her time on placement, impressing staff with her dedication, positive attitude, and strong work ethic. She also successfully completed the official Greene King training, a significant achievement that further highlights her commitment to personal and professional growth.
Her success has been made possible thanks to the incredible support of the landlords and all the staff at The Speckled Hen, who welcomed Eve and provided her with a valuable opportunity to thrive in a real working environment.
Reflecting on her experience, Eve shared:
“I enjoy working with the staff because they are supportive. I also enjoy talking to the customers that come into the pub and doing different jobs around the pub . Now I am proud of myself because I feel confident talking to and helping customers myself.”
We are incredibly proud of Eve and all she has achieved. Her journey is a fantastic example of how Supported Internships can open doors and build skills for the future.
