Welcoming Schools to Oaklands College for Interactive Explorer Events

Building on the momentum of our recent Open Days, Oaklands College continues to strengthen student recruitment through our School Explorer programme. Throughout November, we were delighted to welcome nearly 300 students and accompanying careers staff across both campuses.

Students from Katherine Warington School, Roundwood Park School, Marlborough School, Parmiter’s School, The Priory School, Onslow St Audrey’s School, Monk’s Walk School, and Ridgeway Academy took part in a range of engaging, interactive sessions designed to give them a real insight into college life and the breadth of opportunities available at Oaklands.

A special thank you goes to all our curriculum teams for their hard work, enthusiasm, and commitment in delivering high-quality sessions that truly showcased the best of our college. Your contribution has been central to the continued success of these events.

We were also pleased to receive excellent feedback from the Deputy Headteacher at Monk’s Walk School, who shared the following after their visit:

"Thank you for hosting us yesterday. The students gained a tremendous amount from the experience; it certainly will help them focus on their applications over the coming weeks. Please pass on our thanks to your staff."
