Set on the outskirts of St Albans and in the heart of a 200 acre estate, the Stables is a fully functioning restaurant that has been built to the highest standard to train the next generation of chefs, restaurateurs and hoteliers. We pride ourselves in offering our students invaluable experience in order to get them ready to take on the world.
This modern, open plan dining experience allows our guests to experience the ‘theatre of cooking’ and watch our students prepare your homemade meal to order. Our team of award winning chefs lead all of our Hospitality & Catering students to create an enjoyable experience at the Stables Restaurant, providing on the job experience which is identical to that of any working kitchen.
In addition to be open for a daily lunchtime service to staff students, and anyone in the community, The Stables hosts evening dining sessions to truly replicate any professional working restaurant. After a pre-dinner drink in the bar area, guests are welcomed to their table for a three course meal delivered by our students. The open plan restaurant gives our guests an insight to the real life pressures chefs tackle every day and the ultimate responsibility of cooking meals to order for paying customers.
