A Level Courses at Oaklands

Our A Level Department is based at our St Albans Campus and offers a wide range of subjects designed to match your individual interests and ambitions.

Our choice of A Level programmes allows you to mix and match your choices so that you can discover what you really want to do.  We also offer a combined BTEC and A Level course where you can study a Level 3 BTEC Diploma in either Business or Applied Science alongside one A Level. This is equivalent to 3 full A Levels.

What are A Levels useful for?

  • If you are considering going to university, A Levels are useful preparation for study as you will be completing assignments, studying independently and focusing on your areas of interest.
  • If you don't want to continue into higher education, A levels allow you to keep your options open if you change your mind in the future
  • If you are considering going into employment, A levels can help you get the job you want as this is a qualification widely recognised by employers

Studying at the College is a stepping-stone to your future and an opportunity to gain skills you will use for the rest of your adult life. We encourage independent study and give our students greater independence to make the transition into adulthood a bit easier.

Our students benefit from excellent teaching in each of the subjects we offer. Our staff are specialists in their respective subjects and bring years of experience to the classroom.

We offer high level of tutor support, as well as support to complete your UCAS application if you want to go to university after completing your A Levels.
