Construction Management and Civil Engineering

A career in the construction industry is now more than just physical labour. With specialised courses and degrees available at both college and university levels, those within the industry can truly flourish.

The construction industry contributes over £110 billion to the UK economy, accounting for 7% of the nation's Gross Domestic Product (GDP). This highlights the substantial value and opportunities within the industry.

Join us at Oaklands College to gain the knowledge and skills needed for a successful career in Construction Management and Civil Engineering.

Construction Management & Civil Engineering courses

Since leaving Oaklands in June 2024, I went on to join Glencar Construction for a 5 year apprenticeship in Construction Management, in the August. The knowledge and skills gained at Oaklands set me up perfectly for a smooth transition into my full time apprenticeship in the construction industry, with only the job role left to learn. Oaklands helped me build my confidence also, by encouraging PowerPoint assignments in front of others, internally and externally, whilst offering me various work experience placements at the same time.
