British Olympian Iwan Thomas mentors college ambassadors

On Thursday 30th September, British Olympian Iwan Thomas MBE was guest of honour at a Leadership Day for young ambassadors, held at the University of Hertfordshire.
The day was organised by the Schools Sports partnership and involved ambassadors from across the district.
Oaklands ambassadors, Alison Nicholls and Billie Murphy (pictured) have been tasked with organising three events at local Schools on their road to becoming silver ambassadors.
Oaklands FESCO Darren Morgan, responsible for coordinating Oaklands involvement said:
“It was a wonderful experience for Alison and Billie to talk and listen to Iwan and I am sure this will help them on their way to achieving the silver ambassador status.”
